Christ the King College to manage student lifecycle with Capita UNIT-e

Capita Further and Higher Education (FHE) today announces that Christ the King Sixth Form College, Lewisham has selected Capita’s UNIT-e Student Records solution following a competitive tendering process. This user-friendly management information system will enable the college to maintain up-to-date and accurate records; track and manage the entire student lifecycle from student records, and parents’ evenings to timetables and exams. The solution was chosen to assist in improving the student experience and safeguard the college’s outstanding reputation by providing enterprise-wide reporting and integrated student lifecycle tracking.

Capita’s flexible and robust student records solution will be implemented with the aim of protecting the college against the potential risks associated with in-house systems, allowing it to also benefit from a customer-led team of developers, consultants and dedicated support helpdesk.

Malcolm Lea, assistant principal at Christ the King Sixth Form College, said: “It was clear to us that Capita FHE offered the most mature product with the highest level of sector experience and understanding. The Capita system allows for bespoke development which we hope will help ensure a smooth transition in moving from our in-house system to a commercially supplied system. We look forward to working with Capita who we believe can help support our core business of teaching and learning.”

Chris Cooper, operations director, Capita Further and Higher Education commented: “We work closely with colleges to develop a customer-led solution, ensuring that we are answering their needs fully. Our high quality support and implementation teams also work tirelessly to ensure successful and seamless implementation and we look forward to working with Christ the King College and developing an ongoing relationship.”

Capita FHE maintains a market share of 52% (of the sixth form college sector) providing the sector with a strong voice in the operational and development agenda of the UNIT-e solution.
