From education to employment

New book introduces the power and excitement of economics to a wider audience

27 August 2019

The CORE project has launched an updated version of their Economy, Society and Public Policy ebook in time for the new academic year.

The CORE project, which has been funded by the Nuffield Foundation, is an open-access project to introduce economics to a wider audience – whether they are non-specialists taking a course in economics, in the workplace, or learning for themselves. The main target audience is students (undergraduate or postgraduate), who are not studying economics already, but who want to take an economics course.

The new version of Economy, Society and Public Policy includes updates and revisions which respond to feedback from teachers and students from Exeter to Iceland, and Adelaide to New York. Other updates include interactive data charts and a closer integration with the Doing Economics ebook.

Later this week, the CORE team will soon be launching Windows, Android and Apple iBook app versions of the book. A print version, published by Oxford University Press, is also available.
