Angela Rayner responds to NEU analysis of party manifestos

Angela Rayner, Shadow Education Secretary, responding to the NEU’s analysis of each parties’ school funding offerings, said:

“This research is further evidence that Labour is the only party who will rebuild our education system after nearly a decade of Conservative cuts.

“The Tories have forgotten that we all benefit from an educated society. They have starved schools of funding – transferring costs onto students, staff and our communities.

“Labour’s National Education service will provide free education – be it technical, vocational or academic – for everyone throughout their lives. That is the real change that Britain needs.”
