Concordat for the advancement of Knowledge Exchange in Higher Education in England

Universities UK and GuildHE have today [Friday 3 May] launched a consultation for the higher education sector on a draft knowledge exchange concordat. This follows work by a joint UUK/Research England working group chaired by Professor Trevor McMillan, Vice-Chancellor of Keele University.

The Concordat aims to:

  • help universities and their staff and students enhance clarity of mission
  • support their development
  • give partners an accurate representation of the approaches and strengths of individual universities
  • provide clear indicators of their approaches to developing and improving performance
  • give governing bodies and government broad confidence in the activity that is taking place in universities

Responses to the consultation questions (which can be found in the consultation document) and any additional comments can be sent via the online survey by 1st July 2019. The final version of the Concordat will be created by autumn 2019.
