Sparkol Launches StoryPix For Education

Sparkol, creator of leading whiteboard explainer video software VideoScribe, today launched StoryPix, the latest addition to its growing creative product suite for education.

Launching exclusively at Bett 2018, the world’s leading education technology show, attendees will be the first to try out the exciting new product and experience StoryPix’s extensive use cases in education.

StoryPix enables users to create short narrated videos quickly and easily. After taking a photo or uploading an image, users can add text and voice description as the software zooms into elements of the photo, easily saving and sharing the final product with as many people as they like.

The quick-to-create, easily shareable nature of StoryPix videos enable teachers to use the tool to set creative homework tasks and explain complex subjects in a fun, digestible format, as well as providing students with a compelling revision tool on a platform that younger generations prefer.

Examples of StoryPix uses include:

StoryPix is part of Sparkol’s long-term education strategy that will see accessible, subject-specific and affordable solutions made available throughout 2018. These education solutions will provide a strong mix of classic and technology-driven learning methods for teachers and students to utilise.

Zoe Taylor, CEO at Sparkol said: “We’re excited to be launching StoryPix at Bett. It’s such a powerful teaching tool for all ages and abilities and we wanted teachers and education staff to be the first to try the new software to see how easy it is to use as part of a blended learning approach.”

Outside of schools, StoryPix can be used as a teaching tool such as:

  • Driving instructors can provide students with a revision video for the ‘show me, tell me’ element of the driving test
  • Site managers can run through the health and safety requirements of a building site
  • Doctors can highlight visual symptoms of common health conditions

StoryPix joins VideoScribe, Sparkol’s leading explainer video software, which is used by award-winning teachers, schools and universities, adult learning centers including the University of British Columbia and funza Academy South Africa.

StoryPix is available online and does not require a software download though projects and completed videos can be stored on a user’s mobile device. Sign up at www.storypix.co.uk to start using it now. Sparkol has an ongoing roadmap of StoryPix enhancements scheduled throughout 2018.
