Top drama school hosts auditions at Clarendon

ArtsEd, one of the top performing drama schools in the world, held their annual auditions at Clarendon Sixth Form College.

50 potential actors from all over the north-west came together to audition for the school’s prestigious acting course.

Six performing arts students from Clarendon Sixth Form College took part in the audition process.

Yusuf Khamisa, senior lecturer at ArtsE said: “This is a really great college, with such brilliant spaces for the students. The whole day has gone really well and there’s such an exciting and positive atmosphere.”

Students expect to hear in the next two weeks if they have been shortlisted for the next stage of recall auditions, which will take place in London.

Kyra Haslam, performing arts student at Clarendon Sixth Form College, said: “This has been such a great day. I was really nervous at first, but I feel that all the support my teachers have given me has really prepared me for it. I’m very grateful to the teachers for all the time they have given to help make this happen and for preparing me for the future.”
