Two practitioners sought to join Education and Training Foundation Board
The Education and Training Foundation (@E_T_Foundation) is inviting applications from practitioners interested in becoming Board Members and Trustees of the organisation. The two successful applicants will bring practitioner/teacher perspectives to the ETF Board, playing a key role in its governance, contributing to strategic decision making, and making a real difference to the UK’s education and training profession and the lives of learners.
The ETF is looking to build the Board’s understanding of practitioner and learner viewpoints and challenges through these positions, and applicants are therefore expected to have significant practitioner/teaching experience within an FE and training context. They must also have a commitment to the values and strategic objectives of the ETF, be able to think creatively and flexibly, and have strategic vision.
The time commitment for each role is expected to be 10–12 days per annum. Appointments are made for a term of three years, with the potential to be renewed for one further term. Meetings are primarily hosted in central London, but virtual options are available. The positions are not remunerated, but expenses are paid.
The ETF and its Board values and recognises the benefits of diversity across its leadership and staffing. Diversity can encompass a wide variety of characteristics including age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality, religion, nationality, experience and skills. It welcomes applications for these positions from individuals from all backgrounds and particularly from young, disabled or Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic individuals.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 30 October, with interviews expected to take place during the weeks commencing 9 and 16 November. For further details of the roles, please visit the ETF website.
