SkillsWorld LIVE is back

This year National Careers Week CIC is delighted to run a competition offering hundreds of pounds worth of prizes to schools, 6th forms and colleges in the UK.

The competition requires the submission of a short case study with accompanying photos, examples or videos for judging in two categories

  • Key Stage 3/4/5 – Secondary/6th Form/College entry
  • EYFS/Key Stage 1/2 – Primary entry

The 6 main prizes, which include careers library resources from Prospects’ Educational Resources, workshops and resources from SteamCo along with certificates for other worthy entries.

CASE STUDY RESOURCES FOR TEACHERS

With the new careers strategy placing higher emphasis on schools to provide ever better CEIAG for their pupils, there is a need for free resources for schools to liberate their hard-working staff from reinventing the wheel spending time creating resources that already exist.

All submitted entries will be considered for inclusion in a resource of case study ideas for careers activities in schools which will be provided free of charge from the NCW website.

Full details of the competition can be found on the NCW website

Janet Colledge Education Director of NCW “We look forward to our case study competition resulting in teachers and careers advisers sharing good practice and ideas so that their peers can benefit from their ideas and expertise.  NCW is a not for profit company and believes in harnessing the spirit of professionalism that permeates throughout the CEIAG community.”

ABOUT NATIONAL CAREERS WEEK

National Careers Week (#NCW2018) is an annual event organised by a dedicated team to promote the importance of quality careers education in schools and colleges. It is also a celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK. The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people leaving education.

Careers Week encourages education providers to bring together students, local employers and advisers through careers events and activities. During National Careers Week, we invite every school, academy and college to offer careers education, information, advice and guidance to their students.

In addition to our headline partner RBS, NCW 2018 sponsorship of the theme days is provided by:
