Gerry Brown discusses what People 1st is doing to improve customer service – World Host

Gerry Brown explains how People 1st, the Hospitality Sector Skills Council, constantly checks for skills gaps or areas to improve in its sector.

Mr Brown highlights the main concerns for the Hospitality sector: That management and leadership are weak in the hospitality industry, there are not enough chefs, and customer service in the UK is of a very low standard, with the UK rated 17th in the world).

To tackle this, People 1st has adopted the World Host programme. This programme originates from Canada, which consistently ranks top in the world for customer service.
