IfL’s Toni Fazaeli discusses bursaries to attract more teachers into FE
Toni Fazaeli, chief executive of the Institute for Learning (IfL). discusses the positive news of bursaries to attract new teachers into Further Education.
Toni explains that teachers in FE have already had one career before teaching in Further Education and Skills, as they need to be a subject specialist for their learners. She explains how although teachers in FE have started a second career as a teacher, they have to take a step down in salary from their first career to be a teacher in FE.
