Talented young people showcase green skills

FE News visits the UK Skills garden at the RHS Flower Show, the world’s most famous celebration of high quality horticulture.

A team of talented young people all under the age of 25 are designing the garden to promote excellence in vocational education and training.

The project showcases a vast range of skills, including landscape gardening, bricklaying, cabinet making, floristry, electrical installation, stonemasonry and plumbing. It also highlights how greater investment in skills and development can help lift UK industry out of recession.
