NCFE appoints Director of Sales and Marketing to lead growth and diversification strategy

North East-based Awarding Organisation, NCFE, has appointed a new Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the growth and diversification of the awarding arm of the business.

Sian Wilson has been appointed to the newly-created role at the organisation’s Newcastle headquarters, and will oversee the business development, marketing and customer experience functions across both the NCFE and CACHE brands.

Sian has held a number of senior positions across the UK during her career, including Head of Corporate Sales at JHP Group, Director at BWB Group and, most recently, Head of Apprenticeship Services at The Tech Partnership.

With over 17 years’ experience in the training and education field, Sian has developed and led the strategic direction for learning – as well as managed new projects and business growth initiatives – for training providers, colleges and employers in the apprenticeship sector.

Sian Wilson commented: “I’m delighted to be joining NCFE at a time of significant change and development in the further education sector and for Awarding Organisations. I was keen to be part of an organisation that not only has a strong reputation nationally for awarding and customer service, but that also has ambitious plans for the future. I’m looking forward to getting started and hope to play a key role in NCFE’s further growth and diversification.”

Esme Winch, Managing Director of NCFE, said: “Sian’s background in leading successful bids and managing the implementation of learning, development and recruitment solutions for large corporate customers will be an asset to us as we expand into new markets in response to changes in the sector.

“Sian has impressive experience across marketing, business development and sales, as well as a great understanding of the needs of customers and where opportunities lie. Her experience in apprenticeships is particularly important for us as we now offer an end-to-end apprenticeship service for providers and employers. We’re confident that Sian’s broad knowledge and skills will put us in a strong position to drive growth, and we’re very pleased to welcome her to NCFE.”
