From education to employment

Helping education institutions drive efficiency while bolstering productivity and security

Technological Excellence in Education Demonstrated by Landscape at UCISA19

Landscape has announced that it will be present at the UCISA19 Leadership Conference, hosted at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre from 27-29 March 2019. On stand 70, Landscape will showcase how its Device as a Service (DaaS) and Managed Print Service (MPS) offering helps education institutions of all sizes to drive efficiency while bolstering productivity and security.

DaaS caters for universities’ core technology requirements by addressing the on-going technology service, security and maintenance challenges they face. The DaaS model’s competitive cost-per-month plan helps capital-budget stretched IT teams to deploy modern client devices faster. This enables education institutions to benefit from a regular technology refresh, while keeping the IT estate relevant, reliable and future-proofed. To help IT teams further, DaaS provides options for PC configuration, asset tagging, deployment and proactive, preventative support services that provide fixes before issues impact productivity or security.

Across departmental or campus-wide print fleets, print is often a hidden but expensive cost, as well as a frequent IT support headache. Landscape will show how its MPS offer alleviates many of these print pain points by having print supply, repairs and maintenance covered. It will also show how its MPS offering – in conjunction with leading intelligent print management solutions like Papercut – helps education institutions save on print costs and reduce paper consumption, while improving security and compliance. Critically, Landscape’s MPS helps ensure that organisations’ print processes and devices are honouring their GDPR responsibilities.

In recognition of its suitability for education institutions, Landscape is on the RM3781 framework for MPS, and it has been awarded a place as an HP Partner on Lot 4 of the NEPA Framework for MPS. Additionally, Landscape’s two decades of knowledge and expertise in the area of device and document security have secured it an established reputation in the education sector, with its solutions trusted by well-known education organisations.

Sarah Peace, Head of Desktop & Printing Services, University of York, stated:

“Our new HP Partner Managed Print Service means that the University gains from cost and environmental savings, while our staff and students benefit from using the latest HP technology with faster devices and greater productivity.”

Visitors to the UCISA19 Leadership Conference will also be able to see a selection of the broad portfolio of devices available from Landscape. These include the HP EliteBook x360, which uses an integrated privacy screen to further bolster security when using it in a public setting.

Talking about its presence at the UCISA19 Leadership Conference, Dave Lanning, Group Sales Director – Public Sector, Landscape, said:

“There’s no doubt that universities of all sizes are juggling the need to reduce costs, while optimising their IT estate to meet the changing role that technology plays in how lectures are delivered and students are taught. To help meet that challenge, Landscape’s DaaS and MPS offer an effective way to prevent IT costs from spiralling out of control, while ensuring compliance with the latest security and compliance regulations. Furthermore, our DaaS offering alleviates the pressure of having to fund an expensive tech refresh, swapping this financial burden for access to the latest products via cost-effective monthly payments instead.”
