Agriculture Students’ Success at Newtown College

Agriculture students at Newtown College didn’t let the lockdown take hold of their hard work.

An annual awards ceremony is held each year with this year being a little different as it was held via Zoom. The ceremony allowed students to be recognised for their hard work as well as the work produced in the lockdown period.

With the following students awarded:

Agriculture Engineering Level 2 Awards 

Best Student Year 1 – Harry Chilvers

Best Student Year 2 – Richard Davies

Agriculture Level 2 – Year 1 Awards 

Endeavour Award – Owen Jones

Best Student – Elin Roberts

Agriculture Level 2 – Year 2 Awards

Endeavour Award – Ellie Wright

Agriculture Level 3 – Year 1 Awards

Endeavour Award – Hanna Jones, Meg Jones, Meg Watkin, Ebony Evans, Kris Pryce

Best Student – Emma Morgan-Page and Erin Jones (joint winners)

Agriculture Level 3 – Year 2 Awards

Endeavour Award – Cerys Mills and Ross Jones

Best Student – Nia Powell and Elin Orrells (joint winners)

Agriculture Level 3 – Part-time Awards

Endeavour Award – Iwan Ellis, Karl Lewis and Adam Watson

In addition to these outstanding awards, Level 3 Agriculture students have achieved some fantastic results this year with three students – Nia Powell, Cerys Mills and Elin Orrells all achieving Distinction*. Well done everyone!
