Artwork on display at the ‘Best of Art’ show

Barnsley College Art, Design and Fashion students are hosting their free to the public ‘Best of Art’ exhibition at the Cooper Gallery until Saturday 5 October.

This exhibition is a collection of the very best works produced by the Level 1, 2, 3, FdA and BA (Hons) degree Art, Design and Fashion students across the last academic year. The artwork on show comprises a collection of paintings, photography, graphic design, printmaking, textiles, ceramics and sculpture and digital drawing.

The exhibition is one of many that Barnsley College organises for the public throughout the year, celebrating the creative abilities and vision of both staff and students from entry right up to degree level.

Evan Wood, HE Curriculum Leader of Creative Industries, said:

“The exhibition highlights the talents of our students and gives them a great opportunity to share and celebrate the creative journey they have been on in their respective programmes whilst raising their public profile.

“Hosting the show at the start of the year gives the students a benchmark to work from and develop their skills even further within their individual disciplines.

“We invite the public to attend our upcoming and future shows to see firsthand how our students progress throughout their time with us.”

Come along to the Cooper Gallery to view the ‘Best of Art’ collection of works between 11.00am and 4.00pm from Monday to Saturday until Saturday 5 October.DSC_7499
