From education to employment

Celebrating excellence in Apprenticeships in Worcestershire

The Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards were held on Thursday 16 November, organised by Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and Worcestershire County Council. There were a total of twelve categories and a record number of guests attended on the evening. The awards ceremony was held at the Tree Tops Pavilion, West Midland Safari Park, and was a fantastic evening to celebrate Worcestershire’s best apprentices, employers, training providers and schools.

The Development Manager Ltd won Training Provider of the Year and are celebrating their 10 year anniversary. The judging panel felt that TDM have developed their ability to deliver Apprenticeship programmes across a number of different pathways. They have consistently delivered high achievement rates over the past 10 years with 90% of their apprentices remaining in employment with their original employer. Both learner and employer feedback has been outstanding and have clearly demonstrated that the learner and the employer are kept central when designing their bespoke apprenticeship programmes.

Other winners on the night included CP Foods UK for Worcestershire Apprenticeship Employer of the Year, sponsored by fellow Member Yamazaki Mazak (UK) Ltd, and Ben Hyde from Sanctuary Group who won Worcestershire Apprentice of the Year, sponsored by Chamber Patron Worcester, Bosch Group.
