Clinical eLearning Hub Launched for Healthcare Staff

The Skills Platform has launched a brand new Clinical eLearning Hub featuring RCNi, RCGP, eLearning for Healthcare and more.

The new Clinical eLearning Hub has been launched to provide learners with a central location to find and access courses for Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and revalidation. Clinical eLearning whether paid-for or free is often dispersed across various providers and host platforms, making it difficult for staff to know where to find clinical content.

The hub will help staff such as GPs, dentists, pharmacists and other clinical specialists to reduce the time it takes to find the courses they need. Nurses and other specialists in secondary care can also easily find courses to support CPD and revalidation.

John Rogers, Chief Executive of Skills for Health, said:

“To ensure medical and nursing staff are able to provide excellent care and support for patients requires them to be able to access high quality training. This Clinical eLearning Hub will provide a central location for clinical staff to access training and enable managers to feel confident that their learning and development requirements are met.”

The new hub features specialist eLearning from:

Providers have been hand-picked for quality assurance and user experience. NHS trusts will also be able to register to make their own internal eLearning available to the wider community.

The hub offers a variety of clinical course subjects to suit all of your clinical needs, some of the courses available on the platform include:

Danny Mortimer, Chief Executive of NHS Employers said:

The combined clinical eLearning hub is a welcome initiative that will help employers source essential learning for their staff. This has the potential to reduce time and ultimately benefit patient care.”

Martin Sinclair, HEE e-Learning for Healthcare Programme Lead, said:

“We are pleased that e-LfH resources are now available via the Clinical eLearning Hub.  We are keen to continue increasing the number of people who have access to our wide variety of e-learning resources to enable more healthcare professionals to further their learning.”

David Evans, Product Manager of the Skills Platform, said:

“There are some amazing, cost effective (and sometimes free) clinical eLearning out there, but it be can difficult and time consuming to locate the best courses. By putting everything together on the Skills Platform, we want to save staff time and highlight courses of the highest quality. The hub will grow over time as we add more providers”
