CONEL Student Malachi Oram Fundraises to Compete at Deaf Athletics in Germany

CONEL Sports Student Malachi Oram is fundraising to achieve his dream of competing at the Deaf Athletics competition, against 18 nations at Germany, in August 2016.

The Deaf Youth Athletics competition will be held in Germany for the first time during 25th to 27th August 2016. Malachi will be participating in the 200m and 400m races. To make his dream come true, he aims to raise £700 to cover his flights, food, hotel and athletics kit for the competition and has only 3 months left.

Aspiring Sports athlete Malachi previously won National Junior Athletics Outstanding Male Performance 2014 and 2015. Malachi has been training hard, a few times a week for the past couple years to be ready to compete internationally.

Malachi Oram, studying BTEC Diploma Level 3 Sports states: “I am a 20 year old, profoundly Deaf, Sports student. This is my dream to compete in the Deaf Athletics competition in Germany. I would kindly like to ask you, all family and friends to support me as much as you can afford. I hope you can help make my dream come true”.
