From education to employment

£9.75m for Enhancing Equal Access to Lifelong Learning in Tees Valley

Call to run a project focused on meeting the current and future skills needs of employers in the Tees Valley LEP area.

The project must be delivered across all five of the Tees Valley Local Authority areas: Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, and Stockton-On-Tees.

A sector skills routeway approach is anticipated –providing progression routes from entry level to NVQ level 4, enabling the workforce to develop relevant skills, and to progress in their career into higher skilled/better paid employment.

Provision should be tailored to meet the specific sector needs identified in the Tees Valley Strategic Economic Plan and to address the gaps/barriers in provision identified by local SME’s.

In order to ensure complementarity, it is expected that the successful applicant for this call will liaise with the successful applicant under the Tees Valley call for Investment Priority 2.2 (OC34S19P1353) to ensure delivery is informed by evidence of employer skills needs.

Applications are encouraged from consortia or other similar types of partnership arrangements. In each such case the application must be completed and submitted in the ECLAIMS IT system by the lead organisation on behalf of the partnership/consortia. The Lead applicant must have the financial capacity to meet the required Due Diligence criteria and if ESF funding is awarded, this organisation will then become the lead Grant Recipient, accountable for delivery of the overall ESF Project.
