Exemplar Education celebrates Universal Children’s Day with World Vision

The UK’s largest provider of home learning support for children, Exemplar Education, is raising awareness of Universal Children’s Day by celebrating global children’s charity World Vision.

World Vision is a relief, development and advocacy organisation that works internationally across 100 countries. The charity focuses on helping underprivileged children across the globe achieve their full potential. There is a specific interest in education, health and physical and emotional needs. Exemplar Education has supported World Vision for ten years and has consistently raised funds over that period of time to support thousands of children.

Exemplar Education teams have seen the work World Vision does first hand with visits to Bangladesh in 2012 and Senegal this year. Throughout 2019, employees from across the company’s six UK offices have been involved in a number of fun and interactive projects which has culminated in the company’s most successful fundraising year to date. In addition to creative fundraising challenges teams have come together for World Vision’s Global 6K for Water Run which resulted in teams donating the equivalent of 100,000 litres of water to World Vision projects.

Most recently, all six offices sponsored a child in Senegal and filled backpacks full of educational resources to send to Senegal with representatives from Exemplar Education who visited the villages to meet the children and see the amazing work that they’re doing together with World Vision. While some of the staff were in Senegal from 11 to 16 November this year, the rest of the staff back in the UK got into the spirit by adopting “Orange Week” in celebration of World Vision’s striking corporate colour.

Juliana Lax who leads this priority Corporate Social Responsibility programme at Exemplar Education says,

“To work for a company that is so involved in helping others is amazing. Whenever we have something World Vision-related there is a great vibe in the offices – people are excited and really keen to get involved. Our company mission is to help children in the UK build brighter futures and to partner with a charity that means we can take that mission globally is amazing.”

Ahead of Universal Children’s Day on Friday, Exemplar Education is urging people in the UK to try and get involved with charities like World Vision who make such a huge difference to vulnerable children in need.

Dr Andrew Hobbs, Chief Operating Officer at Exemplar Education says:

“Our partnership with World Vision is one of our proudest achievements at Exemplar Education. We have seen an enormous team effort across our six UK offices over the past year with teams getting creative with challenges and activities across the offices and quite literally going the extra mile in the name of fundraising through World Vision’s Global 6K for Water Run.  Our company is all about helping children and to be able to work with World Vision and help underprivileged children around the world is amazing. Ahead of Universal Children’s Day we want to raise awareness of the amazing things that World Vision does for children across the globe. Their work really does help improve the lives of millions of children and we are so proud to be involved in such an amazing and worthwhile charity.”
