Inclusive Skills Wales Competitions held at Newtown College

Newtown College @NPTCGroup was pleased to host the Inclusive Skills Wales Food Preparation, Table Laying, Media and ICT competitions recently.

Four learners from Newtown’s Vocational Sampling course took part. Conor Lewis and Victoria Hester showed their skills in the food preparation competition and Megan Earys took part in table laying. Meantime Emma Louise Jones was put to task in the ICT challenge. All competitors put in a great effort and they were all awarded certificates.

Along with our student’s involvement, Media lecturers Steve Bellis and David May were charged with judging in the Inclusive media skills competition. Steve commented that all students performed well.

Following the Competition in Newtown Megan Earys received an invitation to collect a medal. Vocational Sampling Lecturer Amanda Cruse said ‘We were delighted to learn that Megan has been selected to attend a Medallist Celebration Event in Cardiff.  We are all so pleased for her and proud of all our students that were involved’.

Congratulations Megan and all those that took part.
