QTLS results released today

The results for practitioners in the Further Education (FE) and Training sector who have applied to be awarded Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status are being released today, Monday 8 April 2019.

Conferred by the Society for Education and Training (SET), the professional membership organisation for the post-16 education and training workforce, on behalf of the Education and Training Foundation (ETF), QTLS status is the badge of professionalism for practitioners working in a broad range of settings. Over 22,000 practitioners have already achieved the nationally-recognised status and 560 applicants will receive their results today.

To achieve QTLS status practitioners must successfully complete a ‘professional formation’ process to enable further development of their skills and knowledge relevant to their teaching role, underpinned by the ETF’s professional standards. The status aims to signal to employers a commitment to professionalism and excellence.

Practitioners waiting to hear their results started the process six months ago. They will be contacted by the QTLS team today advising them of their results, giving further information on how to access their certificates where applicable. Those who have not been successful will be provided with information about the re-submission process.
