From education to employment

The London Institute of Banking & Finance ranks joint fifth in student satisfaction

The National Student Survey (NSS) gathers students’ opinions on the quality of their courses. The purpose of this is to contribute to public accountability, help inform the choices of prospective students and provide data that assists institutions in enhancing the student experience.

Every university in the UK takes part, as do many colleges and alternative providers.

The London Institute of Banking & Finance has been rated as the joint fifth overall and first in London for student satisfaction amongst Higher Education Institutions, with 92% of its students reporting that they were satisfied with the quality of their course.

The results come from the 2017 edition of the National Student Survey – the largest nationwide survey of student satisfaction. The survey is designed to assess student opinion on the quality of their courses, allowing institutions to improve students’ experience and informing the choices of prospective students in the future.

Commenting on the survey results, Alex Fraser, Chief Executive at the London Institute of Banking & Finance, said:

“We are absolutely delighted with the results from this year’s National Student Survey. Such an outstanding overall satisfaction rate is a huge testament to all the hard work and dedication of everyone involved- both academic and professional staff.

“Students rightly expect the highest quality of teaching and support throughout their study and these results show that a small institution can match the experience provided by much larger, better resourced Universities.”
