Times Top 100 Graduate Employer to increase 2020 intake despite coronavirus uncertainty

SkillsWorld LIVE is back

Management consultancy Newton, ranked 19th in @TheTimes Top 100 list of graduate employers, is looking to take on up to 110 recruits as part of its annual graduate intake. In spite of growing concerns around the impact of the pandemic on the graduate job market, Newton will see a slight increase in intake from last year demonstrating its commitment to being a top graduate employer.

The management consultancy will be holding a number of virtual events in upcoming months to support this year’s cohort of graduates in navigating the tricky world of job hunting and applications in a post-covid world. Graduates can stay up to date with Newton’s virtual events on Instagram and LinkedIn.

Martin Kent, Graduate Recruitment Manager at Newton, comments;

“At Newton we’ve helped our clients adapt to the new challenges presented by Covid-19 incredibly quickly, pivoting our expertise to support our clients with vital projects like the VentilatorChallengeUK Consortium meaning Newton is now in the position to take on a growing number of graduates looking to make a real positive impact on people lives today.

We recognise that Covid-19 has impacted different industries in many ways leading to uncertainty around what this means for graduate job opportunities and work experience. We’ve had both graduates and students coming to us with questions like ‘how to show relevant experience if your work experience has been cancelled?’ and ‘how can I get an accurate feel for a company’s workplace if face to face career events aren’t happening?’.

At our virtual events and across our social media channels, we will be on hand to answer questions about anything from job opportunities through to general career advice. Graduates will be able to speak to Newton consultants as well as recent graduate hires, meaning they’ll receive first-hand advice from those that were in their shoes just this time last year, this way the class of 2020 will have the best chance at securing the ideal role for them.”

Graduates looking for a role with responsibility and the chance to make real changes within some of the largest organisations in the UK can apply by visiting Newton’s careers page here.
