A list of 21 institutions selected in October 2018 to be Centres for Excellence for basic maths.

The programme provides grant funding to build teaching capacity. It also supports best practice on what works to improve basic maths for learners over the age of 16 with low prior attainment.

Centres will trial pedagogical approaches and share this expertise across the post-16 sector.
