Susan Pember outlines future challenges for Apprenticeship providers

FE Adviser Susan Pember outlines the future challenges and opportunities for Apprenticeship providers at the AELP 2013 annual conference.

Funding is very tight, but skilling the UK’s work force is essential. Therefore it is a very good time to be an Apprenticeship provider, particularly if you are delivery high quality provision, according to Susan.

She says Apprenticeship providers should keep an eye on the future, and think about what raising the participation age could mean for them and the needs of the overseas workforce. 

Susan also highlights how far the UK Apprenticeship system has progressed, citing an employer and colleague who for years believed Germany’s Apprenticeship model was the best but is now advocating the UK’s system.
