Barking & Dagenham College students learnt all about how to look after their bodies and minds as part of Healthy College Week.

Students took part in a whole range of sessions.  They included mental health workshops, talks on gambling awareness, the realities of youth homelessness and the dangers of home tattoos.

There was also a chance to complete a health check in the fitness centre and learn all about healthy eating. This involved looking at how much salt and sugar was in food, creating a healthy menu and working out what foods should be incorporated into your diet.

Danni Caburian, a counsellor at Barking & Dagenham College said:  “It has been a fantastic week with some great speakers.  So many students got involved and were keen to find out how they can stay healthy, both mentally and physically.”
