New company launched to solve education equipment headaches
A new education-dedicated company has been launched to help schools, colleges and facilities management groups gain the correct equipment for their needs.
The Education Reseller, which will provide needs ranging from audio and lighting gear to musical instruments, aims to put an end to educational establishments wasting time and money from receiving unsuitable equipment.
Co-founder Nick Spalding said: "Often schools and colleges are getting a raw deal, ending up purchasing equipment that is either wrongly specified or overpriced because it isn’t purchased from an education specialist.
"We want to embrace the equipment and market knowledge gained over the last 15 years and use it to the benefit of education establishments."
The company, based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, aims to serve the entire UK with warehouses in Hertfordshire and Fife, in Scotland. As part of the specialist service Education Reseller hopes to provide the education market, the group will visit colleges and schools to assess their requirements and ensure "funds are invested in the correct products to meet their requirements".
"We are education specialists," added Mr Spalding. "We’re not a company that supplies other markets; we have set the company up purely to supply education solutions, therefore we will only source and supply products that we know are right for education."
