Beauty Therapy students from East Sussex College go for gold

Beauty Therapy students from East Sussex College competed in the UK skills regional heat in Portsmouth earlier this week (Monday 17th June).

Georgia Powell, 18, Anya Jackson, 19, and Natasha Roberts, 18, who all study at the Eastbourne campus, advanced to the regional heat held at Highbury College.

It was a fantastic result for the college, with Anya scooping the first place award in the Level 2 competition and Georgia winning first place in Level 3.

Emma Hartup, Head of Curriculum for Hair & Beauty at East Sussex College, says: “All three girls have done amazingly well. We are so proud of their dedication and hard work to the competition.”

The trio follow in the footsteps of ESC alumna Kaiya Swain, who took part in the competitions during her time at the college, and won the gold medal in the WorldSkills Finals in Abu Dhabi (2017).
