Cardiff and Vale College’s modern European restaurant, The Classroom, is holding a special Father’s Day lunch with an extremely tempting Father’s Day menu on Sunday, 19th June.
Choose from starters such as classic prawn cocktail with pickled cucumbers, compressed water melon with feta salad and pea shoots or pressed ham hock with spiced homemade chutney and walnut bread.
Then move on to the scrumptious fare on hand for the mains which include roast sirloin of Welsh beef with Yorkshire pudding, sea bass with crispy potatoes, bacon and sea vegetables or Glamorgan potato cake, spinach leeks and red pepper served with a white wine sauce.
After those delicious dishes, dad or granddad will be more than ready for dessert options, featuring warm dark chocolate and rum tart with orange compote and vanilla ice cream, buttermilk panna cotta with Welsh Perry jelly and shortbread biscuit or a traditional Welsh and English cheese board with chutney and cheese biscuits.
