This improvement notice requires Sefton council, working with its partners, to take steps to improve its services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and their families.

It follows an original inspection and a subsequent revisit by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission which judged that local agencies in Sefton had made insufficient progress against areas of weakness in their delivery of SEND services.
