This improvement notice requires South Gloucestershire council to take steps to improve its children’s social care services. It follows a 13 February 2017 report by Ofsted which judged the overall effectiveness of children’s services to be inadequate.

This improvement notice was lifted on 8 May 2019 following a re-inspection by Ofsted in which services were judged as requires improvement to be good.
