From education to employment


ESCP Europe, the world’s first business school creates Europe’s first academic programme for LGBT+ Talents.

The new international Leadership Training programme within ESCP Europe’s Executive Education is designed to support participants in their personal development helping create a network of leaders empowered to make a difference in their organisation.

“Research as well as our conversations with LGBT+ demonstrate that many LGBT+ still struggle with exposing their identity in the workplace. We therefore offer this leadership programme as a platform to share experiences, develop a network in the community and build a skill set to leverage participants’ potential in leading others in an authentic way.” says Kerstin Alfes, Professor for Organisation and Human Resource Management at ESCP Europe and Academic Director of the LGBT+ Leadership programme.

The programme combines management subjects like negotiation, decision making and storytelling. Additionally the programme includes sessions on authentic leadership and design thinking, an innovative process in which participants will develop tools to create a more inclusive work environment within their organisation.

According to a future participant of the course Tim Mehlis “This exclusive LGBT+ Leadership Programme is a unique opportunity for me to meet and network with other LGBT+ talents and executives from around the world. Together we can improve our leadership skills and become competent leaders who accelerate the leverage of diversity in our teams.”

The first edition of the LGBT+ Leadership programme will take place in Berlin from July 22 to 25 and will be followed by the RAHM LGBT+ leadership contest on July 26.
