ILX Group plc Launches Blended Learning in Scotland and the North East
ILX Group plc (ILX), the training services company, is launching a public training programme teaching PRINCE2 and ITIL courses to ILX clients in the North East and Scotland. The programme, due to begin in August 2008 and offers organisations with high quality, cost effective training. The training is offered via a variety of learning options, including e-learning only, blended and pure classroom.
ILX is so confident of the project’s success that it is guaranteeing an exam pass to anyone studying with ILX at these new locations in August or September 2008. If a candidate is unsuccessful, ILX will provide an examination re-sit free of charge, or a refund of the cost of the exam.
Eddie Kilkelly, managing director, ILX Group plc, describes the company’s aim. “We understand the overheads involved in long-distance training and the need to continue to develop staff even in times of economic difficulties. In response to our clients’ needs we wanted to extend our high quality blended training to clients in the North East and Scotland in an attractive, cost-effective package that did not involve them incurring travel costs.”
ILX has an extensive and impressive client list, and is no stranger to working with prestigious organisations in Scotland and the North East. One of its most recent projects was working providing PRINCE2 training to the Scottish Government.
Jim Hill, FCIPD, a Resourcing Professional for the Scottish Government’s Resourcing Centre of Expertise says, “I found the ILX training software to be intuitive and simple to use. The workshop training was also excellent and helped myself and four colleagues to gain the PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification. Overall the service and product has been excellent and the added flexibility of a public schedule of training courses in Scotland will be a real advantage to us”.
