Barking & Dagenham College student Joselyne impresses at Debenhams
Student Joselyne Sousa Alves, 17, from Barking, so impressed her employers when she was on a work experience placement that she landed a job.
Joselyne studies business and enterprise at Barking & Dagenham College’s Technical Skills Academy.
As part of her studies, she was given the opportunity to do work experience at Debenhams in Ilford.
During her week long placement, Joselyne got to learn about being a customer service advisor, working the till, replacing stock and helping customers.
So impressed were her colleagues that the company offered Joselyne a job at the store! She now works part time in the homeware department.
Joselyne said: “I really enjoyed my work experience with Debenhams and now I’m working with them again and gaining more practical skills.
