North Kent College Higher Education students Making the Grade at Graduation

North Kent College Higher Education students celebrated the success of Graduation with a ceremony for them and their invited guests at the Dartford Campus on Monday 1st July.

The Higher Education ceremony acknowledged their hard work during their studies, with many students who have just completed the HNC and HND qualifications at the College, now progressing onto other universities to top up their qualification to a full degree.

Asa Hems, the selected student speaker of the year, who has just completed the International Travel & Tourism Management HNC, spoke of his time at college positively and how much he has thrived regardless of the physical disabilities he lives with each day. He urged others to “go after what you want, as you can achieve anything when you put your mind to it”, and how thankful he was to the tutors and classmates who have supported him.

After being presented with their certificate by Deputy Principal Curriculum, the graduates were treated to a Wimbledon inspired cream tea reception post ceremony, to continue the celebrations with their peers and tutors.

Congratulations to all Graduates of 2019, we wish you all the luck and good fortune in the future!
