Progress to Excellence Ltd remains among elite in adult social care training

PROGRESS to Excellence Ltd has once again been recognised as one of the best learning and development providers within the adult social care sector.

For the fourth year running, the company has received Skills for Care endorsement, showing that the training it delivers makes a significant difference not only to learners but also to the people accessing care and support.

It has also been named – for the second successive year – as a Skills for Care Centre of Excellence. This Skills for Care badge of quality continues to place Progress to Excellence Ltd amongst an elite group of organisations in England which have been proven to give high quality training to social care support workers and healthcare assistants.

Endorsement by Skills for Care, the strategic body which works with the Department of Health and Social Care for the development of people working in adult social care, is only given to the best learning and development organisations operating this sector.

Damian Burdin, Chief Executive at Progress to Excellence Ltd, said: “Receiving this endorsement for the fourth successive year and once again being named as a Centre of Excellence by Skills for Care proves how we consistently provide high quality training throughout the country for people working in the adult care sector.

“Working in care means making a positive difference to people’s lives when they are faced with many challenges, whether social, physical or emotional, and in many different situations, either in their own homes, residential care or in the community.

“As frontline staff, adult care workers are key to helping vulnerable people live as independently as possible. Our training and support plays a vital part in enabling them to achieve their own career goals but, most importantly, to face their day-to-day challenges with skill and confidence for the benefit of the people in their care.”

The Skills for Care endorsement also shows that the content of courses and qualifications gained through Progress to Excellence Ltd have been successfully designed and developed to meet specific care sector requirements.

Damian added: “With Skills for Care being synonymous with quality in the adult care sector, the endorsement not only gives us increased confidence of the value of our work but also gives our clients and learners confidence in our services.”

The Skills for Care endorsement framework was created following the independent Cavendish Review in response to a demand from employers looking for a quality mark that promoted excellence in social care.

The review also included a request from employers to have a site where they could easily find high quality training providers, taking away the uncertainty and need to trawl through a minefield of existing providers.
