From education to employment

RSM strengthens education offering with key partner promotion

Leading audit, tax and consulting firm RSM has promoted Louise Tweedie to partner to help drive the firm’s future direction and growth strategy. The promotion took effect on 1 September 2019.

Louise joined the firm as a trainee in 1999 and has over 20 years’ internal audit and advisory experience.

She specialises in education, working with a range of higher and further education clients, academies and independent schools. She also leads RSM’s higher education data quality team.

The appointment is among 10 RSM partner promotions in the UK this year, reflecting investment across the firm’s audit, tax and advisory practice.

Lisa Randall, RSM’s head of education, said:

“I’m delighted to announce our latest partner promotion, which is testimony to Louise’s individual talent and highlights an important area of growth for the firm.

“The education landscape is constantly changing. Whether its government policy such as apprenticeship reform and the Teaching Excellence Framework, or social and economic issues like Brexit and the UK demographic impact on student numbers. Louise brings a wealth of experience and can help education organisations navigate the complexity and deliver effective, practical advice to help them succeed in a turbulent market.

‘What is particularly pleasing is that Louise is ‘homegrown’ having joined the firm as a trainee, specialising in education and now taking an active leadership role to support our ongoing growth strategy.”
