Senior vet gives a helping hand to Clarendon Sixth Form College’s ‘Futures’ students

Allisdhair McNaull, a senior veterinary surgeon at The Vets, visited Clarendon Sixth Form College recently to deliver a talk on his career and the industry.

Allisdhair spoke to ‘Futures’ programme students about why he decided to become a vet, how he has progressed into more senior roles and the wide variety of options available to those who study a science related degree.

The ‘futures’ programme at Clarendon Sixth Form College provides gifted and talented students with a bespoke learning framework, including talks and extracurricular activities, which motivates success in A Level subjects.

Angela Pearson, futures programme coordinator and curriculum leader at Clarendon Sixth Form College, said: “Allisdhair provided an excellent talk to students and showed them that studying a veterinary degree as the first step to a successful career in a wide range of industries and job roles. The students asked lots of questions and were able to gather a very clear picture of what they would need to do in order to achieve in this area. Thank you to him for visiting the college.”
