South Devon College

South Devon College (@sdcollege) are pleased with the news that it was successful in its shortlisted category in the Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce Awards, leaving with the crown for the Workplace Wellbeing award.

Hosted by BBC Radio Devon’s David Fitzgerald and Chamber Chief Executive Stuart Elford live from Home Park in Plymouth, the awards ceremony honoured the best in entrepreneurship and enterprise with an innovative and interactive virtual ceremony.

This great news comes off the back of the College’s recent success in July being the only college in the world to be reaccredited platinum rating by Investors in People (IiP) and also receiving IiP’s Health & Wellbeing Award.

This continued recognition of the support that the College provides staff and tutors paints a fantastic picture of what it’s like to work there.

Ensuring the wellbeing and health of staff and tutors is supported is one of the College’s top priorities, as this inevitably results in a greater positive experience for the students.

Kelly Sooben, Vice Principal – People and Resources at South Devon College, said:

“We have truly inspirational staff here at South Devon College who work tirelessly every day to achieve the best outcome for our students and support each other as colleagues. To have that formally recognised by winning this award is the greatest recognition to all the awesome staff here at the College and we are thrilled with the result.”
