Students Graduate from Assured Skills Corporate Travel Academy

Graduates of the Department for the Economy’s (DfE) Assured Skills Academy Corporate Travel programme which took place at South Eastern Regional College’s (SERC) Lisburn Campus in partnership with Selective Travel Management and Jurys Inns.

Twelve students have recently graduated from the Department for the Economy’s (DfE) Assured Skills Academy offering pre-employment training places at SERC’s Lisburn Campus in partnership with Selective Travel Management and Jurys Inns.

Catherine Anderson, Deputy Head of School, Travel and Tourism at SERC said,

“We are delighted that the 12 participants have completed Assured Skills Corporate Travel Academy.   It was an intensive 6-week programme, but all participants had an interest in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry, so they were learning more about the sector and working towards qualifications kept them motivated.    

“We are delighted that they all gained some highly sought-after qualifications including the ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management and secured an interview for employment in both organisations   Six participants were offered opportunities as Corporate Tourism Consultants, five with Selective Travel Management and one with Jurys Inns, thus helping to meet the demand for employees in Northern Ireland’s growing tourism sector.”
