Student’s surface pattern design shortlisted

A Gower College Swansea Foundation Degree Fashion and Textile Design student was recently shortlisted in the prestigious idott competition.

Sheeza Ayub’s work was one of over 1000 individual entries submitted to the competition from art and design students based in the UK and across Europe.

“To be shortlisted is a fantastic personal achievement for Sheeza and we couldn’t be prouder of her,” says course leader Susanne David. “The FD in Art and Design at the Llwyn y Bryn Campus has only been running for one year and Sheeza’s work – and the work submitted by the other students – was produced as part of their module on textile design.

“It just goes to show the calibre of teaching and learning on this relatively new course that Sheeza’s work was selected for shortlisting and will now be included in the official idott yearbook.”

idott is an organisation that aims to build international links with universities and colleges, design students, tutors and industry professionals. It also seeks to encourage, develop and reward students to becoming inspirational leaders in the exciting and creative world of surface pattern design.
