UK’s first Youth Mental Health Day Launches

#YMHD – UK’s first Youth Mental Health Day Launches Today (7 Sept) with #BounceNotBreak campaign from charity @stem4org 

Youth Mental Health Day (YMHD), launched today 7th September with the campaign Bounce Not Break. The Bounce Not Break campaign focuses on the need to understand that anyone, can struggle with mental health, and that you can bounce back by finding something that helps you cope. stem4 invites everyone to get thinking about resilience and share their wellbeing tips. YMHD is timed to support young people as they return to school, college and university amid the huge uncertainty and anxiety that living with Covid-19 brings.

The #BounceNotBreak campaign video features resilience tips from the likes of comedian Josh Widdecombe, Southampton FC footballer Oriol Romeu, Summerland Actor Lucas Bond, Welsh International Rugby player Hallam Amos, Ex Man Utd player Luke Chadwick, Black Mirror Actor Georgina Campbell, Swimmer George Taplin & more.

Further resources, including an ‘asking for help booklet’ for young people to learn about mental health conditions and how to seek help are included as part of downloadable ‘packs’ available for schools, colleges, universities, communities and workplaces on the YMHD website.
