TQUK Relocates to New Office Due to Company Growth

Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) takes up new location in Manchester as demand for services grows.

  • Demand for recognition of achievement is growing nationwide, with serious government investment pouring into the creating millions of apprenticeships in the next few years
  • Millions of trained and skilled apprentices are needed to bridge the skills gap in the UK, where technical and vocational skills are in short supply for projected job creation. TQUK strives to help provide qualifications and assessment services to help ensure these goals are met
  • In order to meet the demand for TQUK qualifications and assessment services, TQUK has had to increase its office capacity
  • TQUK has been delivering qualifications all over the UK and around the world since 2013, with centres in the UK, USA, Russia, India, Hong Kong, and more

TQUK is packing up shop from its current location at 84 Liverpool Road in Cadishead, Manchester, and moving to a new location at Dunham House on Cross Street in Sale. The move is required in order to meet the demands of TQUK’s expected growth and increase in staff numbers as requests for end-point assessment services have already begun to come in.

The UK is in desperate need of quality workers with in-demand skills. With the recent reforms to apprenticeship funding, provision and standards, the government is planning to create 3 million apprenticeship starts by 2020. The idea behind the reforms is to fill the current skills gap in vocational and technical positions in the UK, to upskill the current workforce and to provide training for jobs of the future. The government will, as a result, need organisations to assess the skills of these new apprentices and TQUK was recently approved by the Education and Skills Funding Agency to become an Apprentice Assessment Organisation. There will be a huge demand for assessment services as well as TQUK’s Ofqual regulated qualifications, and the company is taking strides now to ensure they are ready to meet the demand.

TQUK has been growing for years, but the opportunity to provide end-point assessment for several new apprenticeship standards has given the company us the push needed to invest in a new space that will provide capacity and facilities TQUK needs to perform effectively in the future.

TQUK is confident the new premises with updated facilities, infrastructure and technology will allow the company to deliver an even better service than the one its customers have come to expect. TQUK is dedicated to providing world class service its customers and training providers around the UK and will continue to do so for years to come.

TQUK will be moving on the weekend of August 4 and open the new office on August 7. TQUK hours and services will continue as normal. All employees will be available between normal office hours of 8 AM to 6 PM and 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM on Friday.

TQUK’s Managing Director, Andrew Walker, said of the move: “Our journey to the top of the mountain is well under way.  Our commitment to providing exceptional customer service and support to our centres means we have outgrown our current offices in Cadishead.  We need to keep on moving forward, innovating, growing and progressing in this ever changing sector. If not, all our successes in our short history have been in vain.  Our core values – our dynamism and flexibility – will move with us, along with our incredibly dedicated and talented team.  The lessons learned in our current office will help shape our future history and we look forward to welcoming you for a brew…Or something stronger, there’s a pub next door!”
