From education to employment

Part Two of the Complete List of Principals Pay in FE Colleges in LSC Accounts Documents

College principals across the UK have earned a combined total of more than £33 million throughout 2004-2005, writes Vijay Pattni, reporter for FE News.

According to information collected and released by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and available on their website (to view the LSC’s College Accounts document for 2004 / 2005, please click here), a total of £33,962,000 was handed out to Principals across the country.

The spreadsheets give intimate details of college spending and income, and in light of the now postponed lecturer’s strike over pay, these figures will no doubt unsettle the bruised hierarchy of the sector. Following Friday’s publication of the highest earning Principals, below is the second part of the comprehensive list of the principals” pay in those colleges who responded to the LSC request for data in the country. To interpret the figures, please note that PS is short for Principal’s Salary.
