New College Stamford’s rising stars join forces to put on an amazing production of Alice and Wonderland… with a twist!

The production of Alice and Wonderland featured the iconic characters we all love, set in the 1980’s with a original punk and new wave songs written and performed by their amazing Music students.

Fashion students got hands on making their costume designs come to life, tailor made for each individual character. A fantastic opportunity for students to work on a live design brief and have their work star in a real performance.

Alongside their fabulous costumes, Hair and Media Make up artists in training worked their magic back stage to showcase an amazing set of make-up designs on the actors.

The Creative Arts department also got involved, with Graphic Design students responsible for designing artwork for tickets, posters and the website and photography students taking the pictures for student’s portfolios.

Together, the departments made the show a huge success all gaining valuable industry experience along the way.

Every year the college’s Performing Arts department perform a wealth of live shows to the paying public, which is a great opportunity to get real honest feedback from audience members whilst gaining great experiences for their CV’s.

Performances take place both locally, nationally and in New College Stamford’s on-site theatre which features industry standard sprung floors, excellent acoustics and state of the art lighting, everything aspiring actors or actresses need to kick start their careers in performing.
