There are a few professional bodies for the Employability Sector:
ERSA – The Employment Related Services Association. Here is a link to the ERSA newsroom on FE News for their latest thought leadership articles.
ERSA is the national membership body for the employment support sector, campaigning for high quality services for the UK’s jobseekers and low earner.
IEP – the Institute of Employability Professionals
Did you know that the IEP was launched on FE News back in July 2012? The IEP has grown from a UK based organisation into an international membership body for employability professionals, the people who support others gain work, progress in work and retain work. Here is an article from current IEP CEO Scott Parkin on the progress of IEP over the past 12 years.
The IEP as a member body has different members levels from Fellow (FIEP), the Member (MIEP) etc.
The AELP (Association of Employment and Learning Providers) is a member body for Independent Training Providers (ITPs), Work Based Learning and Employability.
